I founded Larapinta Private because the firm I wanted to be part of didn't exist. After nearly two decades advising agricultural and regional families, I kept seeing the same gap. Large firms had the investment infrastructure but no real feel for how these families live. Smaller practices had the right relationships but lacked the investment and technical capability to actually help. I wanted both under one roof — so I built it. Larapinta exists to close that gap. Institutional-grade advice delivered at the kitchen table — not a boardroom.
I work with a small number of agricultural and regional Australian families — exclusively, and by design. I grew up in the Yarra Valley, I still live there, and I've spent my whole career working with families in regional Australia. The conversations tend to happen at a kitchen table or on a verandah rather than a city office — and that's not by accident.
Everything I do is built around the way these families live, work, and think about wealth across generations. I bring institutional-grade investment capability to a practice that stays deliberately small: the same analytical discipline and infrastructure, without the layers of people between you and the person making the decisions. That is the whole point.
Over nearly two decades I've advised some of the country's largest and most complex agricultural and regionally based families, who value the care and expertise a small, yet highly experienced firm with institutional capability can offer.
I hold a Bachelor of Commerce (Financial Planning) and Master of Financial Planning, and I'm a SMSF Specialist Advisor. I was named one of the Insiders 40 under 40 (a while ago now).
This is what I am here for.
